Ashmead's Kernel on B118

from $28.00

Ashmead’s Kernel is a rather unimpressive looking russeted apple, one of the oldest from the UK, but its flavor is the reason it made it to the New World and is still popular today. Hard to describe, it has a pear-like flavor and is a versatile apple, great for eating fresh, juicing or baking with. Plant with a strong pollinator to ensure good fruit set, as it has an erratic flowering habit. Do not use as pollinator.

Rootstock: B118 semi-standard

Size at maturity: 15-25’

Pollination: flowering group 4 - Enterprise, Florina, Gala, Ginger Gold, Honeycrisp, Grimes Golden, Goldrush
